If nothing changes, probably within the next 50 years. We have lost our national identity already.

No. Third World status is about resource control, history, to some degree politics. It's not about ethnicity, except to the extent that the history of colonialism plays a role (being that colonialism was a European construct).
The U.S., though originally colonized, emerged as a leading economic power fairly quickly, with the capacity for running affairs of state independently and profitably. Anyone arriving in the U.S. today is joining the U.S. in its current position of economic, military, and political stability.
Some Third World nations are on track to become Second or First World nations. I don't know the formal definitions, but Chile, for instance, is largely middle class, with a healthy economy, and though their political system hasn't always been enviable, I think it's hard to call Chile a Third World country.

From the place I stay i do no longer see it turning out to be a third international. and that i do no longer think of faith has something to do with it except its the undeniable fact that praying does not continuously help. You gotta get accessible help.

If we don't allow others to come, we will lose population. So few families are having more then 2 children we would see a population decrease.
As for becoming impoverished... It really depends on if we and the new comers are willing to work? We need immigration to be legal, and those who come to choose to participate in our government and culture in helpful ways. Not come to create their home country here.

Unless your ancestors came on the Mayflower, you have no ground to stand on to complain about immigration.
Actually, thinking further back, unless your ancestors trekked across the Russia-Alaska land bridge, you have no ground to stand on to complain about immigration.
You realize that America is a country of immigrants, yes?
What's the difference between immigrants coming to America now in search of a better life, and your ancestors coming to America ... in search of a better life?

I saw a program on television about this and it was scary.
I found this link and I hope some can read it without calling names such as racist and neocon. At least I have the heart to care about what is happening to America.

where is your logic? of course we won't become a third world nation simply by allowing immigrants from those countries.
