1. what it means
2. examples how it pertain to ur everyday life
3. How it compares to a book you might have read

Example of the meaning:
A yound man's children and the ones that he teached became who he is and continue in the traditions that he have helped established. Just because we cannot now see the future nor will we live in it does not mean we have no responsibility for it since our children must live there. The message we send into the future then, is that the children we teach today will reflect the message of what we teach them. They become a "living message" into a time we will not see. Hopefully, it will be a good message.

Children are the living messages we send to a time we will not see. India, by one count, has 18 million* street children and over 22 million* child laborers. Nearly 20%** of the children 6-14 years old have no access to primary education. Less than 45%** receive the immunization required to protect them from deadly illnesses. Half the children do not get enough food everyday and are chronically or acutely undernourished. Ask yourself - is this really how your message should read?

Not only can you explain what the quote literally means, but you can also give examples. For example, teachers affect the future of the world, because they mold the lives of children. Parents not only pass on their genes through their children, but they also pass on their values and beliefs. Begin to think about it in those terms and expand upon those ideas. Even though we will not be there, our children represent us and then our grandchildren and so on. We have less fear of death when we have children and grandchildren as we know that our memory will not be lost - something of us will live on. See ... this is almost a paragraph without expanding at all. Add your own thoughts and ideas. Best of luck with it.

We use children as a means to project our values into the future. This is the present society's attempt to control the future by indoctrinating the people who will live in the future. Give examples of how, through child rearing and education, society tries to implant children with values that it deems to be positive.
