1. SS Julio Lugo
2. 1B Kevin Youkilis
3. DH David Ortiz
4. LF Manny Ramirez
5. RF J.D. Drew (? if not they have Wily Mo Pena)
6. 3B Mike Lowell
7. C Jason Varitek (Doug Mirabelli backs him up)
8. CF Coco Crisp
9. 2B Dustin Pedroia

There is still plenty of time for this to change (and still several signings that could be done), but if the season started tomorrow this is most likely the lineup Terry Francona would put on the field.
The real surprise will be in the rotation. They've got five guys that should be in the rotation and they've got two guys who have a shot at making several starts this season.
Curt Schilling
Josh Beckett
Daisuke Matsuzaka
Jonathan Papelbon
Tim Wakefield
?- Jon Lester and recently signed Joel Piniero
If I'm a Red Sox fan I would like to see Papelbon used as a closer until he really is needed to start. He showed that he's got the stuff to be a nasty closer.
Whatever happens the Red Sox have one heck of a team going into 2007.

C Jason Varitek
P Matsuzaka
DH Ortiz
1st Jimenez going out on a limb here
2nd Pedroia
SS Lugo
3rd Lowell
RF Drew, if signed
CF Crisp
LF Ramirez
Personally would like to see Wakefield or Schilling on Opening Day at Fenway. Maybe Francona would use one of them, he's a pretty smart manager. Naturally if Wakefield pitches that changes the catcher to old reliable Doug M.

1. Youkilis (he was leadoff last year and is a better early season hitter)
2. Lugo
3. Ortiz
4. Ramirez
5. Pena and Drew (Pena hits Lefties VERY well and Drew hits righties VERY well) in other words they'll platoon
6. Lowell
7. Crisp (may get moved up to #2 of #1 with a very good spring training)
8. Varitek/Mirabelli
9. Pedroia

I don't know or care, but I will go out on a limb and say Ortiz will be at DH! I'll bet you $100 dollars that he will be at DH on opening day, care to make it interesting?

Too early to tell. They also have to get Drew squared away.
