Hell yes...

This country is all about quick fixes..... fast cures & masking what ails us....

The drug companies have us brainwashed, convinced that everything is wrong with us...and pills are the answer....

What is the fastest growing abused drug class in the country right now? Prescription pills.

Anyone can get them over the internet... I myself have bought xanax over the internet... i'm not proud... but it is so easily done it's ridiculous....

Are we too quick to medicate? yes... we are.

Sounds more like a rant to me than a question. I agree that people are quick in some cases to want to give medication. However, I also think people are nuts to not want to give medication where it can do some good. For example, not giving your child some cold medicine when they are obviously suffering is insane! I have always given my kids some Triaminic or something when they were sick. I know it won't cure them but it will help with the symptoms, thus making them feel better and then maybe they shake the bug a little faster. My sister in law will not give my nephew ANY medication when he has a cold or the flu, he just suffers. Then she wonders why he cries all the time and won't sleep (he is 2 1/2 by the way.) The reason for not giving him anything.... because she saw on T.V. that he could die. How ridiculous! The best part is my mother in law is a NURSE, and she gave some recommendations. Too much.

coffee is a medication
sex is a medication
communion in church is a medication

but as far as pharmaceuticals, which is what i think you are asking about ....I think yes, we are quick

I think it is a matter of freedom, to be able to be free to choose what you want to do for you - and the kind of life you wish to have

Personally, I rather not take any prescription meds suggested by a d u m b a s s doctor who has his head far up his a s s and who graduated from a comformist school system funded by a pharmaceutical company where everyone there had thier head up their a s s as well.

Sometimes, yes.
I think a lot of people demand antibiotics when they don't need them. On the other hand, doctors are sometimes slow to prescribe needed medications.
