Yes he will. He will be healthier than he was last year and will probably hit 30+ homers. Everyone who says that Howard will break the record, doesn't realize that he is 27 years old and has hit only 82 career homeruns. So unless you think he will hit 60 homeruns for the next 11 or 12 years he will not break the record. Pujols however, has a very good chance to break the record because he is 26 years old and has hit 250 homeruns in his career.

Yes, Bonds will Break The Record Not By Much Though. Most Likley He Will Retire Next Year Though. If That Happends, Albert Pujols Will Break the Record. That Is If He Is Healthy For Most Of His Career

Bonds is 22 Home Runs from breaking the record and he will break the record. And then 10, 12 years later Albert Pujols and Alex Rodriguez will break the Babe's record, Hank's record and finally they will break Bonds record.

Yes, Barry Bonds will break the home run record. He re-signed with the Giants in an effort to do so in front of the fans that he has the best chance of getting cheers from. I believe the record will fall by the all-star break if he remains healthy

Yes, Bonds will break the record by hitting a career total of 770 dingers. But in the year 2025 a player named Jerry Bosco will pass Bonds for the all-time lead.

Most likely yes (with the steroids scandal tainting any real meaning).

However, if I wrote the script:

Bonds is at the plate, one short of the record. Clemens on the mound. "The windup....ooooohh, Clemens 'beans' him, Bonds is out cold."

Bonds retires from baseball permanently complaining that it was all a conspiracy to stop him from breaking the record. Clemens claims the ball "just slipped." The discussions go on for years until Pujols, Howard or someone else breaks the record.....

Bonds could break it if he wanted.

The question is does he want to break it because if he does then a lot of people will hassle him saying it should not be a true record.

If Bonds does not break it then they will leave him alone as second place.

Now, the press has been really mean to Bonds so he might just say screw them and Break the record just to prove a point.

Good Question. It will be interesting to see what happens.

But my answer is YES. Bonds will break the record if he decides he wishes to break it.

Yes Bonds will break it. He is only around 20 homers away from breaking it and if he doesn't break it this year he will surely get within 5 of it and come back for another year to break it.

I think he will. I think he'll be followed by A-Rod, possibly Pujols and possibly Ryan Howard. A-Rod is about to be the youngest player to 500 HR. I think when he gets a bit older he can go to DH and he'll get that record quite easily. He had a crap season this year and still hit 30+.
