Probably because both of them are caucasoids and have ancestors that breathed in a meditteranean climate. The difference is the Jewish nose is hooked although both noses are big. The Italian nose is more of a classic Roman nose which is sometimes humped not hooked.

Someone once did a study on whether Jews in fact do have the steriotypical "Jewish nose." It was found that - generally - they do not.
The large hooked nose became a "Jewish feature" because it has a satanic appearance. Old Christian art, which sometimes contained antisemitic motifs, portrayed Jews as Satanic in appearance - thus the "Jewish nose."
