What do you think of Ilan on Top Chef? As in his character and if you think he should win.

I religiously watch the show. At first I thought I liked him and Betty both, and I thought I hated Marcel, but now as I see how each are reacting under pressure, I'm actually on Marcel's side more. Betty needed to own up to her mistakes. She was so quick to throw Marcel under the bus to compensate for her lack of technique and culinary competency. She should have packed her knives up ages ago. I'm so glad she's gone!

Ilan (though i have a soft spot for nerdy Jewish boys that can cook) didn't have to punk out Marcel that way and make the low ball comments that he did on the last challenge. Personally I think cherries are very sensuous and envoke lustful thoughts.

Yeah Marcel was a bit of an arrogant a_s_s at first, but in execution he's been spot on. He needs stay away from the foam or gelees, but it's been clean and he has good technique. I would love to see him and Elia in the final 2.

I guess I wanted ilan to have the character that harold did not the previous season. I was shocked that he was rude about Marcel's dish. All that poking fun at Marcel from the other contestants and from the judges also about not knowing about sex. I thought that boardered on harrasment.
I was shocked to see sam and ilian unable to bite their tongues. This group does not seem very creative. I really think they should have done better with their selection process. There was so much dirty stuff going on like Otto and the Lychee non paying. Betty changing the recipie for the diabetic children after the dietian had already approved it.
I do not know who should win. They only one that has seemed to be kind to everyone and is tallented is Ellia. Ellia is nice to everyone with still being competitive. If Sam or ilian had not lost it last episode I would feel better about them.

I guess they cannot get contestants Like Harold, Leanne and Dave and Stephen. I really wish they would put some emphasis on integrity and fair play. Also working and playing well with others is important.

The past episode we had where Betty went home...I think he went way over the top with poking fun at Marcel. Marcel isn't my favorite nor do I think he will win but I think Ilan was out of line with making those remarks to him. Making fun of his sex life and his dish was out of line. I'm glad that Marcel was able to laugh some of it off or just not respond. Ilan of all people shouldn't be questioning people's sex life or sexual orientation. ( I personally think that Ilan is gay).
He really didn't have a valid point to back up why he was so angry at him except for the fact the Marcel is annoying. All this crap about how he doesn't know his salt and pepper and what not...please! Marcel's dishes may not be all that flavorful but I think that he is very talented for his age....I mean I don't know how easy it is to make a foam and gelee whatever in a quickfire. I'm sorry I liked Ilan but after that episode I lost respect for him.

Thanks for letting me vent! I could go on about the others but I'm sure you don't want to hear it.

He seems to be a very creative cook, and a little bit more intellectual than some of the others. I love his stuff and think that he is a legitimate contender for the title.

He was a little off the other night I think because that kid just kept irritating them so much. That can bring out the worst in people sometime. He has been good so far, otherwise.
