Is it bad to get fake nails when your preggo? Ive heard a lot of different answers...im 6 months pregnante and have been getting them done but unsure

Best thing to do is ask your doctor. I know you have to be careful about fumes and about bacteria and fungal infections that can come especially with fake nails (as opposed to just polish), especially if the tools are not sterile. It is important to feel good about yourself when you are pregnant, but it is also important to consider the health of the baby - maybe compromise and just get a polish.

lots of ppl get there nails done the entire time they are preggo, just watch how much you breath in, if you want get a mask from the doc next time you see him and wear that while getting them done, ppl will understand if they can see your baby belly otherwise tell them you are preggo and theyll understand, hey ya got to be beautiful when your preggo to

I wouldn't that stuff reeks. That's why the nail tech were those nose masks while they do your nails because they cant breath that crap in all day long. better to be safe than sorry right?

nope there isn't any problem with getting your nails done, and if you think that you'll be inhaling anything you can wear one of the masks like the technician wears

i would think the chemicals that are used and the fumes would not be good for you or baby. I wouldnt keep having them done while you are. congrats!

Yes! The chemicals they use are absorbed into your skin and eventually get to the baby. You shouldn't get your hair dyed either.
