What ending? You're 100% correct.
Nothing was concluded; it's just a segue into the next one. Frankly I found the last hour pointless and boring.

99% of me agrees with you! My nice, positive side is telling me to just say "All movies are great", but I TOTALLY disagree. I MEAN WHERE THE HECK DID JACK GO?!?!?!?!?! I KNOW HE'S NOT DEAD! IT'S A FREAKING KID'S MOVIE! Tch...the script writers were probably lazy or rushed and made a sucky ending just for the heck of it.
