The base pairs plus the sugars and so on are a total of about two nanometers wide, or 23 Angstroms. Each set of base pairs is about 0.34 nanometers thick, or 3.4 Angstroms.

Thus, if you were able to line up all the DNA in a typical cell end to end, it would form a line 2 nm wide and 2 meters long (about 80 inches).
