So I can toil for the benefit of others? What is the point of life? Why is God so full of hate that he creates lives to destroy them?

I don't think you are here to toil for the benfit of others. Everyone feels worthless and low at times, some people all the time. I also don't think that God creates lives to destroy them, my God wouldn't do that. But this isn't a spiritual arguement so that's the last I'll say about that.

There is a purpose in everyone's life and sometimes it takes a really long time to find it. I think you are a good person and the point of your life is open to interpretation. What do you love? What is your favorite thing to do? You deserve to be happy so try to find things that make you happy just being you.

Because your mother and your friends will be so sad, and eventually be really really mad (and I mean forever mad) that you killed yourself. And even if that just means that your toiling along for the sake of others, so be it.

Also, if you do off with yourself, all your private possesions become public property (not legally, just thats how people like to think) and all your journals and whatnot are practically brodcasted...so all your innermost thoughts are known to everyone. Which may seem like a good idea till they all go to the wrong people and get read the wrong way. The best way is to confront all the people you've ever thought about or written about and tell them how you felt or feel. Not so you can go off yourself. But if something ever happens, they'll know where you were coming from.

Oh, and I do believe everyones life has a purpose, even if its not success or money driven. If you learn about love or understanding and teach just one person just one thing you've made the most important part of humanity happen. God is in the eye of the beholder. Maybe he just gives us very hard lessons.

I dont know you, but I have a feeling that it is already looking even just a little up. Look how many people responded to you already. Join some online groups and find other people to help you when you are having a bad day.

Good luck!

Hey hey hey! Who ever told you you would never amount to anything is dead wrong. First of all, since you are asking the question in the first place you obviously have some talent. If you could write what you wrote and read what I'm sending you now, you can do basically anything in most job fields. Studies show people who can read or write have the potential to become C.E.O's of companies. I know people who've dropped out of school, been, in gangs, etc. etc.... but yet. Now they've got there lives on track. Don't EVER think you are worth nothing. Because everybody is meant to accomplish something great, only a handful of people realize this though. You can be in that handful. God's not destroying lives. Think of it this way. He's the Government, we're the citizens of his country. He wants us to do right (that's why he made us) but he has to give us our freedom. He can't MAKE you do the right thing, because then we'd just be a bunch of puppets. So if he sees us walking in the path of destroying our own lives, he tries to help you, but he has to let you make your own decision. Go see a counselor too. Even if you aren't Christian, I think a Christian counselor could help you out. They usually have a wider view on things. Stay true to yourself, become something great, take away anything distracting you from your goal, take small steps, and get better. God Bless

Honey I reccon stick with the graphic design cause you alreay did it for a long time and you can get even better at it. Graphic design is terrific and it's not a pie in the sky dream either you can get a highly respectable job from it. ALSO in regards to the low self esteem if your parents can afford paying for Martial Arts classes take them. Try Taekwondo it is fantastic and you'll make great friends outside your school - in the Taekwondo class. Taekwondo gives you ample confidence, is fun and you will feel strong. You will feel strong from inside and KNOW that you are good no matter what other peole think or say to you. Also it is important to maybe see a councellor ( maybe the school councellor) so that he or she can help you with excercises to build your self esteem up :).. it's just some excercises that help you to tell yourself that continuously that you are worthy and clever and handsome and you know what you want and who you are.. and when you practice these for a while you get to truely believe in yourself and know that you are a fantastic person. Definately try Martial arts like Taekwondo or maybe Judo if u love judo because that will help you with your self esteem and you will have fun and get fit as well. GOOD LUCK !!

Well if you are in the form of discouragement, you will feel that way of not amounting to anything. You seem way too discouraged. You really need a positive mental attitude; you should try writing down things you are good at that should build confidence inside of you. I think point of life is to live for others' sake even if you don't gain anything on your own. For instance, some things happen for a reason and by that I mean that we suffer so we won't have to let others. We are their guides and their role models to teach them what we went through so they won't ever have to. God is not full of hate; in fact, once life is served for its purpose it one day will have to return to God. That's the rules of the game in this world.

The world is what you make of it. Everyone has their bad moments, or even months, where they're forced to slave away in a bad job and can't find someone to return their affection. But the world is full of amazing experiences. There are foreign countries to explore, movies to see, books you haven't read, delicious foods, and people you haven't met. At the very least life can be an exploration and if you explore long enough you'll most likely find something worth devoting yourself to and someone to share it all with.

"If you choose not to decide, you still have made a choice." I sometimes feel like you express. I figure, maybe I should give life a chance by making a bold move towards success -- If I fail then I haven't lost anything. keep doing this until you succeed. Sound like a plan?
