I have been having serious contractions and pains, until today...They were about 15 min apart...then the baby has hardly moved at all today....I still hurt and am having contractions they just seem to be more in my back and under my ribs...the uterine ones are not as intense...I am worried my water won't break and I will go into labor at night... at home...

Movement does slow down because the baby starts getting into much tighter places and can't move as easily. I would suggest calling the doctor though because it could be back labor this time around. And the water might not break until your already steady and strong. Just remember when it does break, the contractions will get worse and the time goes quicker, so if you have a distance to drive, don't wait for the water as your clue!

movement does slow down towards the end of the pregnancy. if your worried about if the baby is ok or not, here is a trick i had to do when i was pregnant with both of my kids. drink some orange juice or milk then lay on your left side and just relax and watch some tv with your hand on your belly. you baby should have about 10 movements or kicks in about an hour. If you feel the baby move about that much then the baby is fine. the baby doesn't have much room in there any more and the baby is conserving energy for the delivery. I'm sure your fine.
Just an FYI- only 10% of women's water breaks before delivery. most of the time the doctor actually breaks the water for you, so don't bee too concerned about that. Also, normally birth takes approximatly 1 hour per centimeter- depending on your body- so going into labor in the middle of the night should not be too much of a concern. You will have plenty of time to get to the hospital. Good luck!

The baby does usually slow down before deliver. I would call your doctor and let him/her know the baby is not moving as much and the pain you are in, they might want you to come in or go to the hospital.
