Bad fuel pump.

Sounds like a fuel problem. Have someone spray starter fluid into the air intake and if it continues to run and you can put it in gear, then you have a fuel problem. If it still dies, then you have an ignition problem. Check all of your vaccum lines and the EGR. Good luck.
