My husband and I have been going through a little bump in our marriage. Everyone keeps saying to take a romantic getaway/weekend! Does this work?

Absolutely, as long as you don't go into it with an attitude! Sometimes a change of scenery is what's needed. Go for it and have a good time!

Yes, go to a place where you might have been before only once or twice, so you know that the food and drinks are good. Then head off to a nice hotel room and let your imaginations take over. You won't regret it. Then make a mutual agreement to continue this at least once or twice a month. It can be lots of fun.

My husband and I have hit more than a bump in the road...and we never took a romantic getaway to help us dissolve it.......maybe we should have. The bump is still there.

No. It will only work if you make the effort to change your ways. or him his. The romantic weekend is ok for the time away but when you come back home to reality it all goes back to the old way.

Yes! Yes!

Make sure that you have a babysitter
Buy lingerie for the ocassion
Bring some bubbly
Do not talk about your problems while away.
make it a fun weekend not an arguing weekend.
Go where you haven't been before and as away as possible.

Good luck

It will help, bot don't expect it to solve all your problems.

The everyday effort is the key.
