Maybe it's the drinking part that doesn't interest him. What about doing something else- take a walk, a bike ride, ask him what he'd like to do. If he's basically just a home body, and you are truly bored out of your skull, you'll need to develop some at home hobbies or learn to put up with the attitude, if you do go out. If this lack of desire to do anything is recent, maybe he's depressed and a doctor's appt is in order.

Do you think he could be suffering from depression? How is his job going? Is he generally angry all the time? Is he unhappy with the marriage in general?
I think some underlying issues may need to be fixed, you shouldn't have to talk your husband into going out with you. He should *want* to spend time with you.
Try to find out why he doesn't want to go out with you, instead of trying to convince him to go out with you.
Also, tell him you love him every day. And give him a kiss (not a peck, but a real one) every day. You'd be surprised how often these things are overlooked in a marriage, and they can work wonders.

If you have already asked him over and over again he says no...for you to go on your on. He get attitude....but if you really that bored and you have asked him then you do as he tell you… go. Then maybe only then he might get of his attitude a@@ and go out with you once in a while. He only gets attitude because he knows it going to make you stay home. (smile)

Lots of husbands and wives have date nights once a month or so, it helps to keep the relationship fresh. Tell him you want to go on a date, dress up, have drinks and dinner, a movie perhaps. Good luck, it sounds like he's in a rut.

You can't convince him with words. Gather up some girlfriends and go out without him. He might surprise you at some point and start joining you.

i talked my hubby into it too awhile back. then i got to thinking ...
we are just a lil' too old now to get a " d.u.i. "
we have been lucky for many years so now just is not the right time to mess up our lives for a night out. especially where drinking an driving is concerned. i do my drinking at home where it is safe!

I agree, should have known that when you married him.....Obviously he is not interested anymore or is having an affair.
I would go out and find someone who you like to have fun with male or female..... If he doesn't care then go for it. You might get lucky

Sounds like a lame azz jerk. I agree, go ahead without him. Tell him you are sick of sitting around having no fun at all. I assume you have no kids, wait until you have kids, then he will be dying to go out and you won't be able to. BTDT.
