123 software is on 3.5 floppy disks. It is possible to buy an external 3.5 drive which plugs into a USB port and load Lotus 123 on my new computer? Do I need to buy the Lotus 123 software on CD disks? Can I convert my "old" Lotus 123 files into a different format and import them into the Microsoft Works Spreadsheet on my new computer. Thanks so much. I sincerely appreciate your help.

You can get a USB floppy pretty cheap, but if you were running that Lotus on 98, ther's a good chance it won't work on XP.

What are the requirements for lotus 123. It may not work on your new computer may have issues. May be best to upgrade. Yes you can buy an external and install it that way. I would honestly buy one use it see if it works and then just return drive to store for refund. You dont really need one anymore.

Very easy. Go to your nearest CompUSA and ask for an external floppy. Or alternately, go to an Internet computer seller (I use Newegg.com) and so a search for USB floppy. They cost about $20. (I imagine that is quite a bit less than new software on CD)
