If they could get anyone available in the world, they would want Tony Dungy. That won't happen.

Realistically, they should look at top assistants for the New England Patriots and at Chris Petersen (coach of Boise State, although he probably has no reason to come to MN). Maybe an assistant for Ohio State and at Lance Kiffen (USC assistant). DO NOT HIRE MIKE TICE!!

I think Michael Haywood, the o.c. at Notre Dame would be a nice choice, if he were interested. He id a great job of recruiting at Texas as their recruiting coordinator and has helped make the Irish offense very good.

Will it matter? Minnesota problem always has been and always will be attracting talent away from Ohio State, Michigan, Wisconsin. It will be tough for them to attract a top notch coach.
