We bought this cpu second hand. The homepage is gohip.com, which doesn't even come up as a page. I have tried everything to get it off there, but everytime I restart my cpu, it goes back to gohip.com. If I get one more answer telling me to go to internet options, etc., I will scream. Any new suggestions?

Make sure you're logged on as the administrator. A user may not have the rights to change homepage but the administrator surely will.
Since it's a second hand computer you may not know the Admin password. You can usually clear it on the motherboard by moving a jumper. Look up the computer/motherboard specs on the net to find which jumper.

After setting your homepage, do you click "apply" or "OK" at the botton of the general tab before closing you browser window?

Make sure you click "apply" before closing, then just click the HOME icon and test whether it goes to your desired home page.
