Ok, so I am getting married on Feb 24th and then her and I are moving to Wyoming the next day. We are doing this because of the over abundance of jobs in the Wyoming area. I have had a couple places tell me that I needed to live in the area to be hired. That being said her and I are moving out there without a job and without having an apartment or house waiting for us, I am wondering if I can get any pointers for housing and so forth when we move. The move is necessary due to the failing economy of Michigan. Please any Ideas or pointers would be appreciated.

Thank you

Well some of you seem to be a little confused, we have the money for an apartment. The job that told me I could have it if I lived there are definate. I just got off the phone with one of them and told them that I was moving and going to be there by March 1st and he told me that I could start as soon as I was settled.

Type apartment rentals in your computer address bar. It will take you to sites that rent apartments all over the country. I just did it.

They will find the apartment for you and let you see over the Internet all the features and amenities. You can have your apartment rented and ready before you get there, if you rent a furnished apartment.

Or you could do what I've done before. By air matresses to sleep on until you get some furniture.

Good luck.

Oh Man, are you sure you want to do that?

Getting married, by itself, is one of the most emotionally charged events of your lifetime; and moving to a new city with no job is also an extremely emotional event.

Think worse case scenario. Things can get nasty emotionally if things go wrong in the first few weeks in Wyoming.

Employers may be saying "yeah, we will hire you if you lived here" as a way to get rid of you.

I would suggest taking it one step at the time... even if you moved first to Wyoming (like NOW!) and try to get settled and then come back for the wedding.

I know what I am talking about. Consider this wise.

On the other hand, if you think you two are really strong, this experience can could make you stronger, but by all means know what you are getting into. You are combining way too many stresses (wedding, move, house, job) at the same time. It's a bomb in my opinion.... at least a time bomb.

I think you made a mistake of planning your marriage first before figuring out how you are going to get food, housing, etc. Sure, getting married is a nice thing but I would assume that people would want a stable life (such as stable job, place to live) before getting married and then have no where to go. I think you should plan on saving money and marriage should be your last thing on the to-do list

Just wish you guys best of luck. I hope you have some savings and money for first and last months rent. Rent first and see how it goes before you buy a house. OR If you have some money you could buy a house that has apartments that you can rent out as a source of income. Again Good Luck and real estate never goes down in value. Invest your money wisely.

Wow....

You know, there are certain things that are commonly regarded as the most stressful factors in life.

Over the course of a weekend, you're doing all of them but having a baby and having a parent dying.

Good luck!
