You shouldn't really say his full name! no need. I'm not one for getting on my high horse but if he goes to work that early he's bound to be a bit tired and 5 kids doesn't help. Perhaps because his mam died it does kind of rub it in you saying how much you hate yours, I'm sure he would love to see his again. From the way you have written this, nobody is going to be on your side, just his. It just sounds like you are nagging him and moaning about everything. It is hard to get round to doing maintenance when you work alot. It would be nice if he didn't sleep all the time, but he has to work hard to support you and the kids. Don't give him such a hard time and I'm sure he'll come round. I hope I'm not making you feel bad but the way you wrote this will get you alot of bad replies.

Madkt, try to calm down. It could be that you are blowing the entire situation out of proportion. He could just not be in a talking mood or perhaps after being away from home for about 10 hours he's just tired. Give him time and when he's ready to talk he will.

Because you take him for granted. The guy's knackered for god's sake and all you do is nag him about repairing the house. Which isn't even yours. He sounds like a saint to take you and your five kids in. Don't be surprised if you come home one day and all the locks have been changed and you're out on the streets.

Yes we all know Lee Davies, maybe he's too tired to bother with repairs after coming home from work. About your mother - well he just feels you should be respecting the fact you still have your mother around, unlike him. Maybe he wants you to sort your differences out with your mother before it's too late to do it.
