You can paint it, cover it with a pretty paper, add sequins, add glitter, add rhinestones and pearls, add feathers and ribbons- the possibilities are endless.
As for names, I always think of baroque, romantic images when I think of masquerade parties- 18th or 19th century type stuff like "Scarlet" or "Marie Antoniette".

Keep it simple and sophisticated.
Just stick two long feathers on one side of it, call yourself Miss Sophisticated or something like that.
