Go to the salon, tell them you're a beginner. I suggest you don't go in longer than 10 minutes. I started off with only 8 minutes. Every bed is different though, some are stronger than others. Make sure your skin isn't dry or you will burn more and most likely not notice any change in color. All you do is set the time on the bed (usually they do it for you), get in (make sure you wear those goggles!!!) I burnt the corners of my eyes before and it was NOT pleasant, put the top down and press start when you're ready. Hope this helps, Happy Tanning Darlin!

well i really don't recommend tanning, as it causes skin cancer big time. you can buy self-tanners now that don't look orange. but if you must go tanning, start out going no more than once a week for no more than 10 minutes. if your skin is especially fair, lower it to even less. don't use any kind of tanning oils for the first few times, until you get a base tan. after 3 or 4 times, you can start increasing the time slowly, 1 or 2 minutes at a time. after you start to notice you have a little color, then you can start using tanning oils. they make you more sensitive though, so you may burn a little. also, make sure you get out of the bed if you can feel yourself burning. good luck!

I could tell you how to get tan, but to be honest, tanning is bad for your skin. It prematurely ages it and can cause cancer. If you must go in the sun, don't go between 10-2. Use a good sunscreen and wear sunglasses with uv protection.
There are many great self tanners out there that make you look tan without getting skin damage. Clinique is a great hypoallergenic product that won't turn your skin orange.
Also, Hollywood tans has a booth you can go in to get sprayed.
You wil look great.

Ask the employee which lotion you should use. when i first started going. i started at eight minutes. then gradually increased from there. i did eight minutes for about three days, then nine for three, ten for two, and so on. i would suggest going every other day. or every two days. if you are really light skinned, i would reccommend spray tan or rub on. & if you get red, then stay away until it is cleared up.
