If the work environment is not one that you agree with or feel overwhelmed in, then don't allow your supervisors emotion to interfere with what you feel is best for you. Another way to look at it, is first plan on obtaining another job, before leaving this one and try to give this current job a 2 weeks notice so that it doesn't look bad to your future references. Also, you wrote that your supervisor used to a part of your group until he obtained a management position; which does change the working dynamics within your office, but it shouldn't change the friendship you all have shared. It seems that now that he is becoming stressed, he's now looking for that common bond you all once shared, but from what you have stated...he chose to change and with that change comes change from within that working dynamic. Don't feel sorry for someone who doesn't feel sorry for you...think about it...Good luck and be Safe...(smiles)

If you quit you need to keep those emails and go to the unemployment office and Apply for unemployment.Your boss has over stepped his boundaries. He should not be dragging you into stuff and crying on your shoulder, this is basically the same thing as sexual harassment, but on a different level.Your are the employee, he is the boss. This is not for you to deal with.If he can't handle the job he needs to get out.Another suggestion would to be to contact his superior and tell them and show them the emails, and explain this is unacceptable.Good luck, but you may even have a law suit for your boss forcing you out of employment do to him over stepping his boundaries I would check in to all before I quit

You should follow through with your original plans. Remember its your happiness that matters. If you are at a job you do not like, then you need to move on to a place that satisfies you and your over-all goals. If you don't do what you have planed then you may end up in a situation you don't want to be in.

sounds like everyone is stressed,a staff meeting needs to be called. If you have a new job lined up,then go to it.That is if you feel you cant stay either way something needs to be done at your job
