Love is only a foundation. In itself, it is not enough. Just because you have differences doesn't mean you can't have a good relationship though. It's how you work out your differences that determine whether or not you have a good relationship. Consider differences to be challenges. You both decide whether or not they can be met. Mutual contentment is the key, meaning sometimes both of you compromise and sacrifice so that both are mutually content with the relationship, no one person wins, rather both of you win. If there is honesty, trust, willingness to make the relationship great and lasting, communication, etc... you have a great start. Good luck!

Well, The Jew/Islam thing is gonna be touchy, as is the Smoking/Non-smoking thing. But what the heck, give it a whirl. You only live once, besides the best relationships are usually the once with the most differences.
Have fun!

If you feel a connection, go with that. Don't you think it could be more exciting if you are different from the person you love? as long as you both have open minds, then you will be able to expereince things you would not be able to if you were with someone EXACTLY like you...I think being with someone who is so different could be adventurous and exciting...

in my experience,
differences are good, you learn a lot
and you can change, a lot of times for the best.
for example, maybe this relationship will help you quit smoking,
but in either case, just go with it,
dont worry if it will work out or not.
you can never know, but if you decide it wont work out now,
then you will lose half the fun of relationships and life.
all the best in your love life.

How old are you?
If you're under 20, 10 years difference in age is almost to the point of disgusting.
Do I think you can be together?
I think you two need to discuss this yourself. Strangers aren't going to be able to tell if you your relationship will work. You define that by yourself.

If love is stronger then you will figure out the rest, dont complicate yourself with the differences, instead think of what you all have in common and the rest will change with time and when you all are ready for changes.

Opposites can attract. At least both of you young ladies live in the same place. I think you and her should form a relationship. Both of you have to want to do that. You never know until you try.

Differences can be very good for a relationship. You could be together if you take an interest in each other's activities, are respectful and communicate honestly.

Yes of course you can be together, as long as there is love.
But how long the love will last in the daily wear and tear of all these conflicts?
