i just had my membranes stripped today im 38 weeks and 2cm 100% effaced -1 station...i had it done at 2 and now im getting what i think are contractions...they just feel like realy bad cramps when my belly gets hard. what do u think?

yes they are contractions! Mine started out feeling like bad period cramps and then they gradually got worse! Congrats =)

Yes, those are contractions. It's called a contraction because your muscles contract. That's why when you touch your belly during a contraction it feels hard - eventually with really strong contractions it will feel as hard as a rock.

When DR. stripped my membranes with my third I had him that night. It really worked for me! Good luck. I bet you have a baby tomorrow! :-)
