1) i agree with that
2) prob too afarid to play USC...but could beat anyone else in the pac 10
3) who would??? they just earned some respect so maybe now bigger schools will play them. but b4 the OK ( which was an over rated team to begin with) game theyre biggest opponents were HI and OR ST. they had BY FAR the weakest schedule of any bcs bowl team!!!! they played a great game but they do not deserve any national champ talk. they played SAC ST, FR ST, UT ST, WY, LA TECH, NW ST, ID, SJ ST, and NV...EXTREMELY EASY SCHEDULE!!!!!!!!!!

Here are some teams Ohio State beat:

Northern Illionis 7-5 Bowl Game
Texas 10-3 Bowl Game
Cincinnati 7-5 Bowl Game
Penn State 8-4 Bowl Game
Iowa 6-6 Bowl Game
Minnesota 6-6 Bowl Game
Michigan 11-1 Bowl Game

Easy Schedule? What are you talking about?

They didn't schedule anyone from the WAC, C-USA, Mountain West, or Sun Belt either. Does that mean they were dodging those powerhouses? I would say scheduling nonconference games against the Big 12, Big East, and the MAC is fairly confident.
They are UNDEFEATED! Even if Boise State was respected by the voters, they still would be ranked #2 due to their schedule. I don't know which team you are a fan of but you obviously don't follow football as a whole. I am a Michigan fan and even I have to admit that Ohio State deserves to be ranked #1.

Let's go point-by-point:
1. Claiming they have a weak schedule is just foolish. They beat Texas, who will finish in the top 10 or 15, and a very good Michigan team (who can't win a bowl game for whatever reason) in one of the biggest regular season games of the past 20 years, and played out their Big Ten Schedule. Would you rather they play a murderous non-conference schedule like Texas, USC and Cal? They beat #2 twice with a chance to make history beating a third.
2. I've explained this point well enough. One more thing. You ever think the Pac 10 teams are afraid to play Ohio State? Matching up teams is a two-way street.
3. It isn't their fault they can't play Boise St. I would LOVE a +1 game against the Broncos. That Fiesta Bowl was exhilarating! I'm still giddy.

If they lose to Florida, we'll know OSU to be overhyped frauds. If they win, there is NO QUESTION who the national champion is, Boise State or no Boise State.

What color is the sky in your world?

1. "weak schedule" - The beat 2 teams ranked #2 at the time (UT & Michigan) plus the rest of the Big 10 schedule.

2. "Pac 10" - I'm sure Ohio St is "afraid" of a USC team that lost to Oregon St. and UCLA? Of course, you might mean Stanford. Help!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

3. "Boise St." - You want to use weak schedule against Ohio St but then use Boise St. as an example??????????????

I'm guessing your sky is green.

Hook'em!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Give me three reasons why you are asking this question? Are you another Hollywood freak USC fan? Go with Tom Cruise now and practice your scientology and leave football to the people who invented it over here in Ohio. 2 national championships in 4 years come Tuesday morning around 12:30.

I would have given USC props in this, but it is know nothing jackass PAC 10 freaks like you that keep me from doing so.

Why they did

1. Beat michigan (ranked #2 at the time)
2. beat Texas (ranked #2 at the time)
3. Be undefeated.
