Is it time for armed rebellion against our government yet? If not now, how soon?

Our country is under attack at the border. Foreigners are shooting at our border patrol agents and national guardsmen and our government does nothing. Worse, it arrests our agents for using guns to defend themselves.

Iran is seeking nukes to "wipe Israel from the map". These words are a direct quote from their president. And still our government does nothing.

Our students drop lower every year in rankings compared to students of other countries, and still our government does nothing.

Our national debt is ~$9 TRILLION, and still they don't cut spending.

Our federal budget is ~$3 TRILLION, our national GDP is ~$12 Trillion. This means the federal government alone (not including all 50 state governments and the thousands of local governments) controls 25% of every dollar and asset in the entire nation.

Will there ever be a time when "we the people" are pushed too far and must rebel?

Your points are valid, but what we really need is a third major political party, or a strong independent.

You have legitimate complaints. But your solution is hogwash. There is nothing to be gained from armed rebellion. It would cause civil war. It would destroy lives. It would obliterate our ecomony. What industry does remain here would move. And that is if things go WELL. You would essentially be trading in your damaged Lexis for a broken bicycle. Good trade off? I think not.

You already have the power to make changes in this country without doing something stupid like starting a civil war. Write to your congressmen. Start a petition drive. Get involved with your local government. Start a protest or march. Educate yourself. And above all, VOTE! You're more likely to get what you want this way than you are by going out and getting yourself killed.

An armed rebellion is how this country was formed. The right to keep and bear arms was included so the people could oppose the government if it became oppressive.A revolution may be in the near future.

I agree with most of what you said but , but , don't you think Israel has cost us enough , we just brought down another one of their enemy's at a terrible cost to America , and if we got rid of the Israeli lobbyist it would be a giant step in freedom for America
then if we curtail all Jewish influence in our political system America will be free once again, bribery in our congress and senate will be the final death of America

Who did you vote for, wmcritter? If you voted for George W. then it's YOUR fault all this is happening--because you didn't do your homework.
If you voted for Kerry, then ignore the above.
As for taking up arms, nobody has the guts.

Yes, unfortunately we're so busy fighting amongst ourselves, liberal vs. conservative, or, democrat vs. republican that we'll never get around to it.
