I have an old tool box that is very rusted. I'm not sure what it is made of, however I can tell you that when it is empty it isn't very heavy. Any ideas would be greatly appericated.

Use a quality rust spray...This will seal the rust you didn't get off and this results in a good paintable surface t

wirebrush it and then treat with KBS RustBlast. Spray it on and keep it continually wet for 20 - 3o min. Rinse off and let thoroughly dry. Then Apply 2 thin coats of KBs RustSeal and your rust won't return....end result is a Rock hard finish that's non porous.
Sounds like their SystemSampler for about $16 would probably have the right amt of products youll need.
