So ive saved for a couple months and i was interested in buying this Coach bag ive wanted forever, but its close to four hundred dollars and my mother thinks its rediculous to spend that amount of money on a purse. Should i go ahead and get it anyway or should i just buy a less expensive D&B or something?

Why buy a purse that expensive when you can buy one that looks similar for less and then you can go out and buy yourself shoes, or whatever with the money you have left. Think about whether or not you are going to regret buying this purse before you do.

I think every girl should have at least ONE good purse that they love regardless of the price....
I myself thought it was rediculious to spend that amount of money on a purse but my sister bought me my first COACH and than I got addicted...
I purchased the matching wallet which was about $250.00
I got the shoes $100
and still have about 4 more purses that I have purchased....

Well.. That is a little excessive but if you really want it then buy it. Or you could always post a picture on yahoo answers of it and see if someone has seen anything similar but cheaper. Or search around on the internet yourself, you never know you might find something similar for a quarter of that price or even something that you like more!

Good luck!

If your not sure you really want it, don't get it. it is a lot of money for you to spend on an item you may not love. If really want a coach you can get them at TJ max stores for half the price. but if you half to have that bag, buy it, and use it alot!!

If it's something you really want, go for it! I remember when I bought my Dooney & Bourke bag. I spent about $200 on it, and when I told people how much I had spent, they replied with something stupid like "why would you pay that much?? are you crazy?!". Truth is, its probably one of the best things I've ever bought. It's durable, its stylish, and I love it.

don't buy D&B, coach is much classier and better quality. i loveee coach! i dont know if i'd buy a $400 one, get a smaller one for less money. i am thinking of getting the small soho signature hobo... its really cute and only $178... http://www.coach.com/content/product.aspx?product_no=8386&category_id=258. but if you really like that one than i say get it, i think that if you worked hard to buy it your should treat yourself!
