I want to know how to find the resolution of a file when I open acrobat. I save the file as a hi resolution file at 300 dpi, but when I open acrobat I am unsure how to make sure the file is at the correct resolution. If I open it in photoshop it always defaults to 72dpi.

I think you mean the reader - not acrobat itself. This will be 72dpi. If you do have acrobat, then the image is what the image is...regardless of the resolution of the whole document.
