get an avatar on yahoo. go to this link and click on avatar, sign in and follow the directions. http://docs.yahoo.com/docs/family/more/

Go to Yahoo Avatars or create a profile in Yahoo 360

You can go to Y A home page and click on your name or MY Q&A and there will be a option to " Edit your profile " , you need to select that and it will ask you if you want to use your Yahoo avatar , NO PICTURE or your Y 360 profile picture.
If you choose the 360 option , the picture you have on your 360 page will display by your chosen name on Y answers.

click on the gray head then go to edit profile or something like that. then click on the create a avator. it is on the column where gray head is located . then create a person . then save it . it wont show up immediately but i am sure it would show in like 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Go to ur email and sign in you will see a picture of a person on the main srceen click him. It will ask if you want a male or female. Whatever gender u r click it. it will lead u from there. lol

Set up your yahoo avatar or import a pic from your computer as your avatar for yahoo.

I really wish I could help you.I have been trying for months to to change my avatar from the grey head,but last night I don't know what I did my I was able to change it.

Click on your person in the left corner of the main screen and when you get there change your profile and there will be picture options

umm well....u could always create an avatar...just type in avatar in the yahoo search bar and click the link about yahoo avatars and create an avatar for you account...there is an easier way...but i dont know it...
