You have to have a car stereo with an accessory input or you have to use an add-on that will broadcast the nano's signal to a radio station. Every ipod should be able to work on any car stereo with one of those two solutions.

With an adapter(either radio frequency or through cassette adapter) all iPods will work in the car as long as you have a radio/cassette player and speakers. Another piece of advice as to buying the nano, you can get them a lot cheaper through the apple store. go to apple.com, then go to the store, and then go to the bottom of the left side of the page and go into the refurbished iPod section. These iPods are a bunch cheaper and are practically brand new. They originally had something wrong with them and were recalled before they were ever owned or they were sent back by owners and before they had any major wear or tear. If the case was damaged while owned, they replace the case. These iPods also come with a 1-year warranty from Apple. I was looking at brand new nano's and someone told me about the refurbished deals and I am getting a 60GB iPod Video for $229 plus shipping. It is a humongously better product for only a few more dollars. Good luck.

You have 2 options..yes you can for all stereos... There is a Radio Adapter (wired types and wireless types) and there is the Direct line. (aux out ports, RCA ports, and IPOD adapters) The Direct line will give you better sound but also more expencive. You can get a wireless RF (radio) adapter for around $10 while a direct line IPod adapter will cost you anywhere from 50-200. THe Aux output can only be used on stereos that have a Aux Cable line out. This will go from the headunit to the headphone jack. The RCA will go from the Headphone Jack on your Ipod to the RCA lines in the back of a Stereo. Both of those cables are really cheap to get but you need to see if your stereo is compatiable. Good Luck

Go down to Halfords and look at their Manufacturer compatability chart.
As a rule the answer is yes to play music, but some players have more functionality than others through the car stereo. Some stereo's will allow viewing of playlists on the dash and control through the Stearing Wheel. Others use the iPod itself for all track selection etc.

They all can be played on stereos if u have the right kind of fm transmitter...in fact almost all devices with a stereo jack can be played on a car stereo with an fm transmitter thet hooks to a stereo jack. I recomend getting a transmitter from an apple store near u that hooks to the 30- pin port on the bottom of the nano!

There are two Gadged for it. The most popular and everyones favorite is a FM translator that you plug into your iPod or any MP3 players, choose a radio station on it and then select the same station in your car stereo.
Another one is the cassette with the jack that you plug into your MP3 player then you just insert it in your car cassette player and hit play. That is all.
Make sure when you do that turn all the volumen UP in your iPod then just regulate the volumen trough your stereo nob. You need iPod to delivery the music at its max capacity.
Good luck to you and happy 2007.

They all play on car stereos. You will need to buy a FM stereo transmitter from the Apple store that you plug into your lighter in the car. Sometimes the music has static and you can't hear the song even if you have your volume turned all the way up. I would research and find the best one.
Gool luck

No. not all car stereos can play ipods anyway. BUT, there are things that you can buy called itrips which transmit the signal from your ipod to the car stereo. These used to be illegal but have now been made legal. you can buy these off ebay but i think that the best ones are the brand ones as you will get better sound quality. i would suggest a Griffin iTrip. those are supposed to be very good.
Hope this is helpul! :)

You'd need an adapter unless you have a special kindof new car stereo.
Buy a Zune though, not an iPod Nano
