After 7 years of trying I would suggest both your partner and you get tested by an infertility doctor. It could be he has low sperm count even having a child, or the problem can be somewhere in the female issues.. Good Luck to you.

I went through the same thing only I had a hard time conceiving and once I did conceive I had a hard time carrying the child. My husband also has a child from a previous relationship. We were both tested and the doctors said they were baffled as to why we were having such a hard time. Finally, after 10 years of trying everything from fertility treatment, surgery, basal body temp charts and lots of pregnancy tests, when I gave up hope of having a baby of my own, it happened. And we are now the proud parents of a 14 month old baby boy. You might want to try looking for clues that will tell you when you are ovulating. when your body produces a milky colored discharge or if you feel a slight pinching of your ovaries. But if you haven't been tested then I would suggest that you get tested because it might be a blockage of your tubes which can be fixed or it also might be endometriosis which can be resolved also. And just because he has a child doesn't mean that he might not have a problem. But there are things he could to do about that too. But the more you try to have a baby and are unsuccessful the harder it will be to become pregnant. Stress plays a big part in conception so try not to dwell on it. A baby is a blessing and you will want to look back on his/her conception as a time of love and compassion not one of stress and or frustration.

Your not alone , My wife and I tried for 10 years and then gave up on our chances of having a baby . Then she became pregnant after our hopes had faded but all turned out fine but it was quite a wait . Sometimes things just seem to happen for no explicable reason so you just never know . Good luck to you , in our case it became obvious neither of us had a problem and of course we had considered once of us may have had one.

There is a possibility that it is him even though he has a child. If the 2 of you want a child ask him to go and get tested. It is cheaper to have him tested than it is for you. If he is good to go then it's your turn. He will need to see a Urologist. Good luck to you!

This is not meant to be a crude answer....... Look up the Kama Sutra and find positions that allow for deeper penetration.

Have you been tested at all? I would start there since infertility can happen anytime.
