A newsboys cap has a brim where the flat cap is more of a beret. I myself like the newsboys cap..

I wore a newsboy cap to school one time, boy was that ever a mistake. I got poked fun at more than the fat kid with glasses.

i think the newsboy cap is way cooler because its vintage and usually plaid
