Listen, ther may not be anything wrong, just causr the rabbit won't eat lettuce or carrots does not mean anything. FIrst make sure the animal has water. TWo check that it has regular food. Three DON'T FEED IT LETTUCE!!!! LETTUCE IS ALL WATER IT CAN CAUSE THE RUNS IN RABBITS! NEVER GIVE THE RABBIT LETTUCE!!! Four check that it has food, and then try and spend about 5 minutes a day with it, pet it let it run around (within you sight) talk to it. But there is no need to move it out of where it already is.

Firstly please don't give lettuce. It contains an enzyme which slows the gut and makes them sleepy. A slow gut can cause gut stasis where the gut stops working altogether, so firstly get your rabbit checked by a vet first to make sure it's healthy. Also ask the vet to check it's teeth to ensure that it teeth are aligned and the back ones are not overgrown. This also leads to gut stasis as it can't eat properly. Then make sure you are feeding it properly. A small bowl of Excel pellets in the morning, unlimited hay( fibre) and water both day and night and half a carrot, leaf of greens, a couple of sprouts etc at night. Once he is eating properly, get him neutered and his vaccinations up to date and four weeks after go to a rescue and get him a neutered mate. This will give him something to focus on and play with, someone to groom and snuggle with. Rescues will do the bonding for you to prevent unsuitable pairing partner. Make sure your hutch is at least 5'x 2' and they have access to a run 6' x' 3 during the day even if it is in the garage. Lots of toys such as boxes to climb on and into, empty loo rolls stuffed with hay, bunches of keys etc will help stimulate them, preventing boredom. Good luck.

He might not have a liking for those items.....giving lettuce is not the best idea unless it is the romanian lettuce....you shuold never give rabbits iceberg lettuce and carrots should be given maybe once a week and in little servings.....it can really mess up their system....i know from experience...i raise rabbits...also he might not like it in your garage....there may be other rodents that bother him...rabbits need human affection....if they do not get it..they die!
He also needs to be away from the fumes automobiles give off. Rabbits have very sensitive systems....they need free run and play time...if you cant give your rabbit these little things.....you should arrange for it to be put up for adoption!

Rabbits get really bored. Contrary to popular belief, they don't enjoy being shut in a hutch in isolation. I have 2 house rabbits and even though I work full time, they have at least 6 hours a day running free around my house (and garden in the summer). My rabbits are like having a cat or dog around, they follow me around and are into everything. They're very intelligent and need things to keep them occupied.

As for the veg, rabbits should never be fed lettuce, it can kill them. Try chopping up some veg like carrot, brocolli, cauliflower, basil leaves, parsley (always wash it first) and scatter it around your rabbit's hutch. Make sure that your rabbit always has a supply of fresh hay to nibble on, they are allowed to eat as much as they can.

Try to let your rabbit out for a run as much as possible and you'll end up with a much happier pet.

You just answered your question! He is in the garage! Take him in the house so you can hold him and pet him and love him more! Rabbits are like dogs and cats! You can litter train them. I have my rabbits in bed with me. I woul take him to the vet though. If you have an attached garage it is fine though but it MUST be heated.

If he wasn't always like this, he might be sick. Hurry up because with rabbits it is only a matter of time before they die once they get sick! Hurry Up! Believe me go ASAP! You can't back track or stay here in yahoo answers! Call The Vet Now!!!!!!!!!!!

Try feeding him some other kind of green leafy vegetable, like spinach, celery tops, or even some green grass from your yard. If you have a confined place in the yard and it's not too cold where you live, let him out for some fresh air. Rabbits also love hay, so if you can, give him some hay. I hope he feels better soon! I'm going to put a link below for you so just click on the blue portion and it will tell you all sorts of things you and your rabbit may enjoy. http://www.houserabbit.co.uk/rwf/articles/feedinglft.htm

My rabbit wouldnt eat when he had an ulser on his neck. The vet said rabbits don't eat whenever they are in pain or have teeth problems. maybe he just needs out his cage for an hour or to but it's best to get him checked out by a vet.

Does your family also keep cars in the garage? He might be getting sick from fumes. I think you should take him to the Vet to get checked over.

As someone else has said, he might be lonely or missing the sunshine and fresh air. Is is possible for him to be moved into the house or have an outdoor run to play in sometimes?

Maybe he is scared out there....rabbits are naturally timid creatures and loud noises and roaming animals can scare them badly. Try him on all different types of foods and if nothing changes get advice from a good vet :-) Hope Rabbit is a happier bunny soon!!

Get it out into the garden daily. Being locked in a garage is only good for a car
