I'm all for it personally. I'm in Wisconsin, so I don't see warmth as a bad thing. As a matter of fact, if I could get my hands on a can of Aqua Net, I'd be outside using it every day!

First, you need to have proof of the event happening. From qualified scientists, no a politician that has separate motives.
15000 years ago, the ice age ended, why? Could not have been man induced!!
Do the research, find out what true scientists have to say, quit listening to non-scientists politicians, and make up your own mind based on facts, not movies.
Most of the energy for this country and a significant portion of the world comes from petroleum fuels. Are you prepared to spend a winter with heat or electricity - as some politicians want?
Politics needs to be removed from the climate change debate
and scientific evidence used. Do you realize that the magnetic poles have shifted in the past? Why?
Man has only been accurately recording the weather patterns on this planet for a little over 100 years. A 100 years is nothing when discussing a 4-5 billion year old planet.

Public Enemy wrote a song long ago called "Don't Believe the Hype."
It's clear that you have not researched this issue enough. You should.
You are ignoring the fact that "a period of similar warming occurred between 1918 and 1940, well prior to the greatest phase of world industrialisation, and that cooling occurred between 1940 and 1965, at precisely the time that human emissions were increasing at their greatest rate."
Parts of the polar ice caps have melted but other areas have built up ice and are now thicker.
The earth was hotter centuries ago and well before the Industrial Evolution.
While the concensus seems to be that the earth is getting warmer, no one knows what is causing it, whether humans are the cause, and to what degree.

Don't be an airhead.
Back in the 70's the government realized they couldn't regulate what people did with their land, so they started legislating environmental laws to take control of people's land.
Now they want to take control of your mobility so they invented the whole global warming thing so they can make laws restricting the consumption and/or burning of fuel.
It's nothing but government grabbing more power.
Don't fall for it. There is no global warming. If there were it would be a good thing because it would increase the habitat for about every animal on the planet. Nothing lives on the polar ice caps dum dum, we don't need them. Let 'em melt. People who live on oceanfront property can afford to relocate.

Write to your congressman and let them know you care. If you can't do something big, let the people who can know that we care and want them to help make laws and put the money in helpful places (military in Iraq is a waste of funds and human lives). We need to start being proactive instead of reactive to this issue.

Personally, i think that global warming is bogus...If God made such a crappy planet, i say we all just lay down and die...
BUT
If He made a PERFECT planet, then we shouldn't worry: the planet had many cycles, why should the average temperature be any different?
Now one might say, "But we are polluting the earth and causing this crisis!"
but volcanoes have been around way longer than us, and they belch thousands of times more "pollution" than humans can...
Why worry?
