It seems to me that both groups want to save what little wildlife we have left in this world. The reputable zoos in this world may be locking them in cages with the hopes of showing people why they should be saved, but does anyone in PETA really believe that throwing blood or manure on someone is going to win them friends and do a better job?

Not all zoos are keeping their animals in tiny cages. New Orleans and San Diego are two examples that are trying to help with wildlife rescue. Peta doesn't seem to care if an animal becomes extinct as long as we dont' eat it!

PETA, like every other special interest group, has an agenda. They hope to force their beliefs on everybody else.

Zoos may have a few shortcomings, but in the end, they are just as intent on saving animals as PETA is. They just aren't radical crazies like the PETA people are.

I wrote them and asked why they don't try to protect wildlife. they said they just don't. to write a state legislator if I wonted something done.and now you say they don't like keeping wild type animals in cages? but they don't wont to protect them in the wild.?, that makes no sense to me.let them out to be shot or there land taken away .and then they die and we could protect there species from becoming extinct if we breed them in captivity.there weird I think.they don't make common sense.wild animals should be raised in zoos. for a number of reasons.our animal should be better protected in the wild. when they clear land they don't trap the animals living there and move them. the animals get in the street to be run over. or starve to death. and with out shelter they die. Its a shame.God made us all.theres to many humans we need to cut down on our numbers.the Chinese white river dolphin was declared extinct the other day. been in that river for millions of years and they kill them off with there boats and pollution.I pray for Gods creatures

Go to the San Francisco zoo and watch a beautiful elephant live in a square box...some zoos I'm sure are more like nature parks but lots are cages and its sad to see the animals sitting, depressed looking, and bored.

Gorillas should not be trying prison breaks!!!!!

I'm no PETA fan, but damn! Animals are meant to be free, not locked up for our entertainment.

I'm also against Circus' with live animals other than poodles.

Melissa,
why are so many of your answers about how you dont believe what people are asking ? is it because you are trying to create a drama and get some attention by making up things and being nasty?
Its not so clever really is it?
also,if you say bad things then bad things will just come back to you....
just wait and see...
the zoo thing is irrelevant
