If the phone was shut off at the time it was washed, you have an outside chance that you can save it. Whatever you do, don't turn the phone on... It will short out from the water in it.
First, remove the battery and dry it completely and set it aside. Now take the phone and try to shake as much of the water you can out of it. Then use your hairdryer to dry the phone even further being careful not to get the phone too hot. After all of this, there may still be little water in the inside of the phone. Let it sit a few days without turning it on. After letting it dry for a few days, try to shake any remaining water out of it. If no more water comes out, re attach the battery and try to make a call. If it has dried out, it should work. My nephew did the same thing to his phone, and this process worked for his phone. I hope it will work for you too.
