Anne Rice's Interview With The Vampire. That book was only the first in a wonderful series, and I've been tremendously disappointed they haven't made the rest of the series into movies yet. I hope they do one day.

"Gone With the Wind" by Margaret Mitchell which was published in 1936. It was made into a movie in 1939 starring Clark Gable, Vivien Leigh, Leslie Howard and Olivia de Havilland

The English Patient (Michael Ondaatje). One of the few movies that I think did justice to the original form. Most movies I've seen that are adaptations of novels just aren't as successful as the book.

The Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants, i love that story but they didn't really make the movie the right way. That's the problem with making books into movies, it never comes out right.

My daughter read the book for school last year too. She also enjoyed the movie (: Hm let's see, I like Twilight. Notebook was another favorite. So many good ones!

Hmmm....I'd have to say its a tie between the Harry Potter series, Interview With The Vampire, Queen of the Damned, and Pride and Prejudice.

The 1995 BBC miniseries version of "Pride and Prejudice" is probably the most authentic adaptation of a novel ever committed to film. But it is five hours long, so the filmmakers had some time to get it right.

The BEST si-fi movie EVER hands down - Blade Runner is based on "Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?" the 1968 science fiction novel by Philip K. Dick.

A great sci-fi writer and and even greater movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!
