I think that the people in the fomer Soviet Union feel the same way about their "liberation." They are now free to starve.

They should have said that our president freed the world (of a psycho). The result was a country without a leader.
Revolutions aren't easy. Look at American history. Some colonists did not want to be freed from the British crown. Others were willing to suffer and die for that freedom. The ones who didn't want change ended up being the minority. But maybe they were the majority but just didn't have a collective voice. At least in Iraq there is some type of voting. Americans didn't have that during their very bloody revolution.

All Bush wanted to do was dispose of Saddam Hussein. Revenge thats what i think. U are rite about the point that even if the americans didnt attck Iraq, they wouldent be in this trouble. the american public knows that the Iraqis are suffering because of this. it the invasion never started a civil war woulda never happened. Republicans are only saying that so people will think invading and losing 3000 soldiers wasnt a waste.

I quoted Max50 simply because his answer is sucha good one.
I would add though that people are no longer living under dictatorship. They are no longer thrown in jail, tortured, or murdered for even the slightest whisper against the government. Women are no longer systematically raped.
Gee... I guess we HAVEN'T liberated them afterall! The problem with you libs is that you have tunnel vision. You see through the lense of hatred, and the only thing you can get in your sights is George W. Bush.

Bush is a dictator himself, and people who think he is doing good for our country and Iraq are blind sided by his and his administration's lies. I have old friends in the military and they can tell you this whole war that has been going on for about 6 years now is a big mistake. We can't seem to find Bin Laden which was supposed to be the idea in the first place, not worrying about finding Saddam Hussein. Then if the Iraqi government needed our help, then why are we dying over there along with innocent Iraqi civilians who want nothing to do with this war. Bush's administration keep saying how the Iraqis have a poor unstable government that they need direction, but what about our country? It's not like we are so civilized here. There is violence everywhere in the world, and Bush declaring war on a country that wasn't our problem has made it into one of the most terrible and longest wars to come. And what is he doing with damage here? Nothing! What about Hurrican Katrina victims? He's helping his daddy dearest fight a war he started. He gets us involved in other drama that we can't control our own. The reason Saddam was hanged is not just because of the people he killed but to shut him up for bashing Bush on how he is indeed killing Iraqis as well as Americans himself, by blowing them up, and having our troops stay there dying. Even Bin Laden knows that, he is a smart man knowing how Bush operates. So many of those soilders have family, are young, and even poor. He let Bin Laden's family go when they were here, why didn't he even bother to question them, have them tried? He's trying to keep everyone's mind of of the fact that he is responsible for terrorist attacks on us, and on innocent people. It's ashame how this world is evolving. So many depressed people over these past years.

Think Kudzu , Bell System , medicare part C , & much more..It always sounds like a great and benign idea at the time, until the reality sinks in. This process is also called " Ready , Fire , Aim , Awwwwwshitz!!!

You wallow in this myopic hatred of Bush while ignoring the progress that is being made in Iraq.
The only Iraqis that would agree with you would be former Bathhists, or Sunni Al-Quedia operatives.
Ask a Shite or Kurd this question and you'd probably get slapped

i don't know, maybe the fact that 100,000 plus died in one feld swoop,(GAS) tens of thousands buried in mass graves(women and children) sure people have died since saddam fell, most killed by the murderers who proclaim islam gives them the right, but no where near what has already happened.this is not dem and rep, it is a human rights issue and saddam was a racist.anti shite i say.and to answer your last question, i would have deposed saddam a long time ago. and if your(rights) mean so little to you that you would blindly follow someone just because it would be easier on you but someone else would have to suffer, you have no need to be in the USA.

the iraqi economy is NOT booming. bush didn't free anything. it was his lovely idea to invade a country and destroy it, to settle his daddy's old battle that he started. well now hussein is dead. i'm sure the whole bush family is very happy. and it made them a whole lot of money as well.
the republicans say that our president freed iraq to make them feel better about themselves when they sleep at night in their fancy houses, that they paid for with blood money. and so that the public believes their lies and supports their devious and malicious behavior.

Because they want the American people's support. They make it sound like they saved Iraq from eminent destruction so that we freely give them our support.
I agree with you totally.
Quite honestly, what Bush decided to do in Iraq is a nightmare for everyone. I just can't wait for it to be over.
