Well as a guy the only time I would say something like that would be when I felt my wife wasn't appreciating me and what I do for her.
Good Luck!!!

I need to know more information. Was he being hateful or just kidding? Either way, it does sound like there is some resentment under the surface coming from him. Maybe you should sit down and talk about finances. If you stay at home or make less, he may feel he is pulling more than his share of the financial weight. Talk to him about the non-financial contributions that you make like cleaning the house or doing his laundry. Plus, I'm sure you often cook for an hour and a half. Tell him it bothers you but don't accuse. Try to get to the bottom of why he said it and why it upset you. Maybe he is feeling unappreciated and is trying to let you know that. Good luck.

I don't think it's that big a deal. There are worse things to get upset about, like a cheating or abusive husband.
I often break down a meal, as a joke, into how long we had to work to pay for it. It's a joke. Laugh it off as it was probably meant to be and relax a bit.

You being selfish? B!tchy? What led up to him saying this? Did you say something unappreciative? Do you work/contribute to the family income? This is very incomplete question. Some fish dinners can run quite a bit. Did you not look at prices or look at them and not care?

Must have been some fish - or he makes very little. Maybe that's his problem, he doesn't make enough money and feels bad about it so he takes it out on you. Either way, I would have told him where to shove his fish dinner.
