does anyone hear their dreams? think about it: you can't really remember distinctly hearing anything in your dreams, just as you can't really see colors in your dreams. because dreams are not actual images from your eyes, ears, or any other sense, they're not really anything. it's imagination, which doesn't necessarily have to correspond with real senses.

There was the same type of question, only about blind people and seeing dreams...
To be able to think about something (and also dream), you need some previous experience. A person who was born deaf doesn't have any 'sound experience', and therefore can not hear sounds while sleeping. Basically, deaf people don't know what a sound is.
Those who weren't deaf since birth, but lost their hearing ability at some point in their life can hear sounds in their dreams. Many of them probably still remember something they had heard sometimes - like the voices of their friends and family. They can, and do hear in their dreams.

In your dreams, can you smell all the smells that a dog can? No. You know dogs can smell more, but it's not in your experience. You do dream things that are not in your experience, like flying and falling, but they're not usually tied to other senses like sight, smell, taste and hearing.
My question is, why do so many people concern themselves with what blind people see in dreams and what deaf people hear? These questions keep coming up.

My guess is no. They never heard a sound before, so I don't know how their mind will process it. Even in their dreams...
