no i was in class today and i told someone my favorite color was black. and they said that black is a mixture of all colors and that white is the absence of color. is that true?

OK It is true that if you were to mix the primary colors Red Yellow and Blue you would have black, when your working with opaque inks. But now if you were to project the complement colors Cyan, Yellow and Magenta from a flashlight, were the three colors meet you would now get white.
So Its true the presence of all colors makes Black and the absence of all colors would be white.

well white is an absence color but black is not a mixture of all colors.Black is its own personal color just like blue,pink, and purple.
