in one episode, they show dog lifting up his front paw to use the potty, so presumably they have moved their.... areas to underneath the armpits

Have you ever lived with both a cat and a dog? The dog will often times eat what the cat expels and will sometimes eat what it expels. I think the dog is perfectly happy with the arrangement, receiving the cats discarded material while still retaining his own.

Being a cartoon, I'm fairly sure it doesn't. If it did, I'm sure the cartoonists would think of some clever way to exhibit it without being politically incorrect.
