try to eat healthy veggie snacks if you are hungry, and maintain an active lifestyle. Its ok to walk daily and practice low impact exercise so you dont gain too much. I think they say the avereage weight gain a woman should have durring her pregnancy is 35 pounds. Also, you may want your doc to check your blood sugar, you could have gestational diabetes, which can cause lots of weight gain too. Congratulations on baby!

That's a lot for 10 weeks...during the first 12 weeks if you were average to begin with you should only gain about 3 pounds or so...5 if you were below average weight. You can't lose the weight now, it's not healthy to diety while pregnant, but you do want to be very careful to exercise and eat a nutritious diet full of fruits and veggies. Cut out any junk and ask your dr for nutrition tips and info when you go in for your next prenatal.

I would try not to worry about it so much, you are pregnant with twins and everyone's body reacts differently to pregnancy. I think your body is just doing what is necessary to grow these babies. Remember the second trimester is when you gain the most weight. I heard that anymore than 4 pounds a week is considered excessive and that's just with one child. Try not to worry and congrats on the babies! I hope you have a safe delivery!

i'm not sure what normal is for everyone, but by time i gave birth to my son, i had gained 70lbs. my dr. said this was excessive weight, but everything else on me was healthy & i was underweight to begin with, so she told me i didn't have to worry about the extra weight. if you dr. feels there's a problem, then you should try to do some things different, but it may be normal for your body. find out at your next check up. once i gave birth, it took me a bit longer to lose the baby fat, but eventually i did it & so will you if you want to!

It's normal you should just eat healthy foods, (for your sake and the baby's) Remeber you'll lose most of the weight a little while after you give birth.

It is possible that you have gestational diabetes.
Your OB should test you.
