with a name like that you know that you can always start a conversation with it. So love it and use it in the right way. I have a Friend named America. If you dont want to talk just say that you are busy and that you go to go.

Stop telling people what your name means. What kind of question is this. IS that what you say when people ask you your name? " My name is imani and my name means faith."

you have a beautiful and wistful name. now you know why irma and edith keep asking they are wondering why wasn't their mama more creative. Yes, Imani, your mama loved that name and you were the recepient. If folks ask be happy. My name is I won't go into that but people have given me at least 3 or 4 nicknames my cousins call me mygina. I like that the best. But I quickly correct people who shorten or change my name I like it just like it is.
