Every time you're tempted to put your fingers in your mouth, imagine the 1,000's of germs embedded under your fingernails and picture them crawling around in your mouth. That may help! If not, try cayenne pepper spray on top of & under your nails!

When I was young I used to bite my nails. What I had to do was use a file or emery board to buff off any rough spots that would get me chewing at them again. I put a coat of clear polish on them after that. Anytime I wanted to bite my nails, I would chew gum and rub lotion on my hands instead. It took a few times to finally break the habit, and a couple of times I would let myself have one nail I could bite but leave the others alone. I am 35 now and have had beautiful nails for years. It was definitely worth it.

You are so luckey im well my mother is a Nail person ok first you try to stop like for get about your nails and don't get nervous alot thats what makes you bite your nails if your really nerous about something try to get over it and if that doesent work then you go to a nail store or a Beaut Store like sallys or something and by that nail stuff im not sure what its called but you put it on your nails and if you bite your nails you will taste or smell something nasty.

You have a problem . Just focus on something else. I used to do this and finally have quit. You must be nervous ..Being nervous will make you do these things. I quit my bad habit about 5 yrs. ago. and now i have to clip them from getting to long. Take your mind off biting nails and focus on something else.Nail biting is just a habit.

Try keeping your nails manicured. When they look good all the time, it might give you the incentive to stop.
