What to do when my working wife doesn't want to help with our expenses?

Question

She works for a larger income but I pay all the bills and to "wine and dine" her. She says that she want me to be "the man" but I think that I am getting "hosed". What you think?

What new can I do? I did the putting out, not paying the bills, no wine n dine, no buying the gorcerys. The fights hurt, I took her back.She don't spend wildly. when she buy large items, she puts it on both "her" single parent daughter and my name.( I don't have a child, and scared to have one in this relationship) She will help her but willn't help with half the bills.

yal , i think she is using you for sure. it takes two working an putting towards a happy life. this is not too fair to you at all. i would have a very long talk with her.

My wife tried to dump ALL the bills on me too.

I told her the marriage is an equal partnership and that she had to pay her fair half. I listed all the bills added them up and divided it by to and that is the amount I provide per month. I did the same for the house hold budget (food, clothes, misc). Now she contributes half and I contribute half. The rest of my pay check is mine and I can spend or save it as I see fit and she is doing the same.

FYI, now when I wine and dine her it comes out of my money and when she wines and dines me it comes out of hers.

If she is not helping with the bills STOP buying groceries. When she is trapped in the bathroom with no TP she will be giving you money. What is she spending her money on?

dump her. marriage is a partnership, and the business partnership is part of it. if she plays that role but does the designer clothes, etc. pull her card. Turn the lights out and see how she acts. just turn the breakers off, and see her true colors. if she doesn't pick up the phone to pay the bill cause she has the money, pay attention.

So, you are saying she spends your money and saves hers. That would make half of her savings yours. Of course she is taking advantage of you. She is not a child who needs to be supported. You state she makes more money than you. Being "the man" does not mean being used by "the woman." Sounds like she wants a sugar daddy instead of a husband.

Im a woman and you are TOTALLY getting hosed on this deal! I and my husband BOTH work and we put both our checks into a joint account and we pay bills from the account. We each put in 75% of our checks and the rest we get to keep and play with for the week! Marriage is a partnership and she just wants u to pay it all. where is all her money going??????? bank account-nest egg for a quick escape?

i believe if is her home also she needs to be helping out. she is just using u saving her money and being selfish. think she is wrong, and u need to confront her, does she have to sense of fair and unfair or right and wrong? ask her to pay half of all the expenses, especially if she makes alot more than u do. she needs to share her as setts the same as u do, if not than she may be saving hers to leave u.

Hook her up with my husband because he does the same damn thing. I pay all the bills, he parties with his brother and blows his whole check in 2-3 days.

Sounds like a golddigger! Equal rights = Equal responsibilty. I would tell her that she needs to get her own place to live if she doesn't want to pay for the one she's in. Real women like me pay for our share of things!
