My dog used to pee on the carpet all the time so I know from experience that it is best if you find the stain right away, but if you don't, oh well you can still try to get it out.
Soak up the urine with a paper towel or rag by pushing down hard on the stain. The urine will soak into the paper towel and there will be less in the carpet. Next spray 'Resolve' carpet cleaner on the stain. Let is soak in and work it's magic for a little while, they scrub the stain with a brush. The stain should be gone and you will be left with clean carpet and the smell of Resolve instead of urine. Good luck!

Well, this question was asked before and when I answered it, I got a thumbs down. But, I have raised about 150 puppies and I used hydrogen peroxide mixed with a few drops of dawn dish washing detergent. You can put 1 bottle of h.p to a 1/2 gallon of water and mix 5-6 drops of detergent. Mix up and spread over a small space in the carpet. If the spot is small, don't use water, just use the other 2 ingredients. You can also buy urine odor removers from your local pet store and walmart.

If it went through the carpet it would now also be in the floor. Scrub floor with non smelling, non burning bleach. Do same with carpet but use a carpet cleaner and make sure carpet is completely dry before putting it back. MUST BE DRY! This is the primary mistake people make. They wash the stain while the carpet is still on the floor - not good. Good Luck

I have tried many products. I have not found one that works well.
The only way to remove the urine from the carpet is to steam clean the carpets.
For odor, I also use a product called 0 Odor (zero odor). It is a spray that can be used directly on materials as well as an air sanitizer. it can also be strayed directly into cat litter to reduce any smells.
Between steam cleaning and 0 Odor, I keep my carpets looking and smelling pretty good.

Out! pet stain and odor remover. Wal-mart has it in a big 64oz container for $7.00. It works for pet and human urine, vomit, blood and feces. Pour it over stains and let set for 20min. then take towels and soak up the extra. Then take a dry clean towel and rub up the stains. Very easy

If you go to your local pet shop, or supermarket, you can get carpet shampoo's or mousses which eliminates the odours, but also discourages your pet from going again in the same place. Hope this helps!
