My friend told me that they are a low class people and kind of degrading jobs. What's your thought?

I worked construction for 8 years and made over $30 an hour.. so no, your friend is an idiot.

My husband is in the construction business.He absolutely loves what he does for a living.20 years ago I can see how a person might of thought that being in the construction business was degrading as the wages were quite low,but things have changed alot since then,even labours are on an excellent wage these days.

This is an excellent field to get into if you are a good worker and have a bit of a brain. Don"t know about where you come from but in Oz the construction workers are making a good wage. Things have turned around a bit, construction workers are getting paid more than the university educated proffessionals.

They work very hard and they look good. Some people are better with their hands; it does not make them a lower class of people. Sorry to say but your friend is being ignorant.

my dad has worked construction for 25 years. i guarantee he makes more money than your friend. very good business to be in.
